The difference between involvement and co-production

The focus for this month's Conversation on Co-production was the differences between the levels of co-production; what they are, and how to communicate where we are on the ladder of co-production.

Attendees discussed how to recognise contributions from those with lived experience, the importance of coming from an honest place in terms of what we are able to achieve, balancing power, building relationships and recognising individual needs.

The key takeaway from the session was that co-production is not a race to the top, there is a place for all levels of involvement and participation, so long as we are transparent and honest with all those involved.
